Sept. 23 -
This morning enjoy a sightseeing tour of Prague, the highlight to be the Hradcany Castle, former residence of the Kings of Bohemia and is now the seat of Czech's government. Within the castle complex is St. Vitus Cathedral. Tiny cobblestone streets wind around this gothic treasure, with its ribboned arches and lead to the Golden Lane. We bid goodbye to Prague this morning, travelling west to the city of Pilsen for a short walking tour before you will have the possibility to sample the famous Pilsner beer. After lunch break continue to the ancient city of Regensburg. Afternoon walking tour through the ancient city centre with its patrician's buildings, the Stone Bridge, the Pretorian Gate and the Cathedral.Dinner and overnight - Altstadthotel Arch, Regensburg

After breakfast we take a short drive to Passau where a walking tour of the city that will include a visit to the Cathedral, with the world's largest pipe organ (17,000 pipes) and perhaps enjoy a concert. In the morning enjoy a walking tour of charming baroque Salzburg, seeing the birthplace of the composer Wolfgang Amandeus Mozart, Mirabelle Gardens, the quaint center with its lovely market square, Salzburg Cathedral and nearby St. Peter's church. Leave Salzburg and return to Germany. Todays journey takes us via Innsbruck and Mittenwald, Germany's violin making center, to the quaint resort village of Garmisch-Partenkirchen nestled at the foot of the Zugspitze, Germany's highest peak. We then continue on to Oberammergau, home of the famed Passion Play (the next scheduled in the year 2000).Dinner and overnight - Hotel Turmwirt, Oberammergau

A morning walking tour through this quaint village which is also known for its woodcarvers. Afterwards we drive through the Bavarian Alps to the fairy tale castle of King Ludwig II, Neuschwanstein. After a visit to the castle we continue on to Munich, capitol city of Bavaria.Dinner and overnight - King's Hotel , Munich
Sept. 29 -
A morning city tour of Munich including a visit to Nymphenburg Palace, passing the former Olympic grounds, see the church of the Lady whose twin towers are famous landmarks. Visit the Marienplatz to view the famous Glockenspiel at the New Town Hall. The tour will end up at the Oktoberfest where we have reservations at one of the huge beer tents for lunch. After lunch we will have free time to enjoy the fair. Return to the hotel will be on your own so you can remain at Okteberfest as long as you wish.
