appointed and members of The Association of Travel Agents (ASTA), Cruise Lines
International (CLIA) and the number one agency with Leisure Travel Group (LTG). As one of
the largest volume producing agencies nationwide, we are able to pass along outstanding
pricing values. Penny Entin and Susan Ferris-Reder
are co-owners of Altour/Classic Cruise & Travel. Both working for different travel
agencies in the Los Angeles area for many years, they met in l985 while on a Princess
cruise in Mediterranian. A friendship and business relationship developed and became
co-founders of a cruise-only agency called Classic Cruise Company. After one year, they
realized their clients needed a full service travel agency and purchased an existing
travel agency.
The business has grown steadily over the years, and the
clients run the gamut of demographics. About half of the clients are from California, the
remainder are from all over the country. We receive an abundance of refferral business
because of our wonderful personalized service. Wherever you would like to go in the
world, one of our experienced consultants has been there. As of December 1999, the
yearly volume has risen to 16 million.
In February of l999, Classic Cruise and Travel aligned
themselves with Altour International, a 200 million Travel Company with offices throughout
the United States and Britain. The new partnership has enabled Classic to have a stronger
relationship with hotels and airlines.
We now have the capability of servicing our entire
